The My Disney Experience app and Disneyland app really said new year, new me too!

The apps for all things related to Disney World and Disneyland have gotten an update, and you will want to know about it before your next Disney trip.
The My Disney Experience app for Disney World and Disneyland app are your go-to apps for just about anything Disney World or Disneyland related. In the app, you can view the park map, check wait times, place Mobile Orders, view showtimes, purchase Lightning Lanes, and so much more.

The app is a game-changer while you are at Disney World and Disneyland, and we think everyone should have this app downloaded for their Disney trip. We also recommend taking some time before your trip to familiarize yourself with the app. There is A LOT packed into the app, so trying it out beforehand will help you to know everything it offers.

Plus, there is something addictive about checking ride wait times even when you are hundreds of miles away from the Disney parks. If you have used these app before, the next time you open it, you will likely notice that it got a refresh.

While most of the app still looks the same, the map function on the app looks very different. The My Disney Experience app has also added the ability to see a combined view of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass pricing. Let’s take a look at the updates in more detail!

One of the biggest changes you will likely notice is to the map function. The categories that used to be accessible by a drop-down menu are now accessed at the top of the screen by scrolling across.

Additionally, it is much easier to access the filters. Once you click on a category, you will see some of the available filters right below the icon. Additional filters are also available by clicking on the filters button to the left. Prior, you had to navigate to a separate page for all filters, but now you can more easily set certain filters.

The “Show List” button has now been moved to the bottom right corner of the map, and the look of the list of rides has also gotten an update.

Finally, in the My Disney Experience app for Disney World, you can now see the pricing for Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass on one page versus having to toggle back and forth. When you click in to purchase a Lightning Lane, scroll all the way down and click on “View Pricing by Park.”

You will be able to easily toggle between parks and view the prices for both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single pass by switching between the two options. You can view Lightning Lane Multi Pass prices…

…then switch over to see how much Lightning Lane Single Passes cost in that park. You can also move between different parks on the top of the screen to easily compare prices.
