10 Dates to AVOID Disney Springs in 2024

While Disney Springs may not be a Disney park per se, it’s still very popular for dining and shopping.

Disney Springs

This means that just as the parks get busy, Disney Springs can get very busy as well, especially on certain days. If you’re already planning your 2024 Disney World trip and are planning to make a stop in Disney Springs, these are the dates you’ll want to avoid.

runDisney Race Dates

Any time a runDisney race is happening in the park, you can expect for the whole resort to be busier than normal. In 2024, watch out for races on the following dates:

  • Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend (January 3rd-7th)
  • Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend (February 22nd-25th)
  • Springtime Surprise Weekend (April 18th-21st)

And if you are visiting Disney Springs during this busy time, be ready to dodge people left and right as you walk around — these weekends are wildly crowded!

Holiday Weekends

While holiday weekend travelers coming from further away may not spend lots of time in Disney Springs, local families taking a short vacation may spend TONS of time here.

Disney Springs Crowds

Specifically, we’re looking at Memorial Day Weekend (May 25th through 27th, 2024) and Labor Day Weekend (August 31st through September 2nd, 2024). While Disney Springs may be less crowded than the parks, it still may not be the best time to visit if you can help it.

Events at Select Restaurants

Disney Springs restaurants will also announce special events every now and then to celebrate holidays or days that mean a lot to the restaurant. These are also days we would suggest staying away if possible.

Raglan Road Crowds

Now, these can pop up within weeks of happening, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney Springs news — we’ll let you know when those events are taking place!

The First Day of Every Month

Now, this one may sound weird, but we’re being 100% serious because of ONE dining spot — Gideon’s Bakehouse. Every month Gideon’s introduces new treats to try and it feels like the whole world comes out to grab them and be the first to try.

Line for Gideon’s

And since we, you know, report on all these new items, we’re some of the people waiting in hours-long lines to grab these treats, so take our word for it!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

If you’ve left Christmas shopping to the literal last minute, or maybe you just want to experience the Disney magic during the holidays without having to buy a park ticket, Disney Springs is the place to go for Christmas Eve and Christmas.

That’s why it’s so crowded these days, so we recommend staying away if you can! Or, just be prepared for a lot of crowds you’ll need to navigate. Not to mention that some stores may be closed due to the holiday, so keep that in mind!

New Year’s Eve

And don’t forget about New Year’s Eve! Just like Christmas, if you don’t want to spend money on a park ticket but want to spend the last night of 2024 on Disney property, Disney Springs is the perfect destination.

It’s a very celebratory evening, and you’ll even be able to enjoy some of the holiday decorations left over from the winter holidays.
