NEWS: A Fan-Favorite LIVE Show Has Returned to Disneyland!

It has officially been one year since Disneyland Resort reopened to guests after closing at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic!

While many live shows have been back at Disney World for a while now, the return of Disneyland shows has been a bit slower. And, as nighttime spectaculars like World of Color and Disneyland Forever make their return, another fan-favorite entertainment offering has come back too!

As of Friday, April 29th, live theatrical performances have returned to the Royal Theatre in Fantasy Faire at Disneyland Park! So, of course, we had to stop by to see what it was like!

Disneyland Royal Theatre

If you’re not familiar, Storytelling at Royal Theatre is a 25-minute live show where classic fairytales like Beauty and the Beast and Tangled are comedically retold by Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones.

Rapunzel’s Show!

We had recently seen the theatre preparing for reopening with a new paint job and as of yesterday, the seats are being filled once again! Previously, the area was used as a temporary meet and greet location.

Shows are BACK!

You’ll have to stop by the theatre to find the official showtimes though, as currently, the show is in a soft reopening phase so the showtimes can’t be found on the Disneyland app or printed show schedules.

When we stopped by, the Tangled show was taking place at 11:30AM, 12:45PM, and 2PM, and the Beauty and the Beast show could be seen at 3:45PM, 5PM, and 6:15PM.
