Only Disney Experts Know Why Today is So Special

On November 18th, 1928, two very special characters made their debut…Mickey and Minnie Mouse! Mickey and Minnie both first appeared in Steamboat Willie on that date and, as they say, the rest is history.

The dynamic duo has gone on to become one of the most beloved pair of Disney characters and a fan-favorite couple.

Since today is the anniversary of their debut in the film, it’s considered Minnie and Mickey Mouse’s birthdays! We’ve seen this date celebrated in the past with some specialty items or special TV festivities. Today, the occasion is being celebrated in a smaller but still cute way.
