We’ve seen quite a few health and safety changes recently at various tourist attractions in Central Florida.

As vaccination rates first started to climb, mask requirements were relaxed and social distancing was decreased at many places. But now, as the number of cases increases again, the CDC recommends that all people “mask up” when indoors in certain high-risk areas. And now, a Central Florida attraction has changed its mask policy again.
The Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL is once again requiring guests to wear masks indoors. According to an announcement on Twitter, this policy goes into effect for all guests, regardless of vaccination status.
?Mission Update?
Due to the recent increase of COVID-19 cases and the Delta variant, we have updated our face mask policy. All guests, including those vaccinated against COVID-19, are required to wear face coverings in all indoor locations.

Previously, Kennedy Space Center had updated its policy to allow fully vaccinated guests to go without wearing a mask. Masks were required for the non-vaccinated, although vaccination status was not being checked. The information on the website has been updated to reflect the change. Now that the space center has changed its rules, we’re curious to see how other experiences in the area follow.

Since yesterday’s guidance from the CDC, we haven’t heard any updates from major theme parks, but we’ll keep a lookout for more news. It’s important to keep up-to-date with health and safety requirements before visiting one of these locations, considering they’re changing frequently.
