After originally closing in March 2020, the Disneyland theme parks are still closed after 10 months due to the pandemic.
Earlier this month, Disneyland announced that they would be ending the annual pass program for the west coast parks. Disney shared this week that they would be looking for alternatives to the old program and began surveying guests to find a solution, and today we received more details!
Today, Disneyland revealed that they would be renaming their previous Passholder program to Disneyland Resort Legacy Passholders.
Welcome, Disneyland Resort Legacy Passholders! Thank you for having been a Disneyland Resort Annual Passholder as of March 14, 2020, the date of our Parks’ closure. Get ready to be delighted with magical extras that celebrate you.

The new title describes Annual Passholders who still had active passports as of March 14th, 2020. The post teases new “magical extras”, along with creating a new Legacy Passholder page on Disneyland’s website that shares more details.
In their original announcement on the cancelation of the Disneyland Passholder Program, it was revealed that those carrying current passes would be able to receive special discounts on merchandise, food, and beverages at select locations around Downtown Disney and Buena Vista Street.
For a limited time, Annual Passholders can save 30% on merchandise at locations in Downtown Disney and Buena Vista Street. The offer is valid Monday to Thursday, from now through February 25th, 2021. During days when the discount isn’t available and after it has ended, Legacy Passholders will still continue to receive their regular discounts until a replacement passport program is announced.
