NEWS: Six Flags To Open New Theme Park This December

We’ve been hearing a lot about Six Flags lately, especially after the company merged with Cedar Fair. However, we’ve also heard about Six Flags theme parks closing here in the U.S., but globally, it seems Six Flags is just getting started.

The first international Six Flags theme park is set to open soon in Saudi Arabia on December 31st.

Six Flags Qiddiya City will open on December 31st. Qiddiya City sits just outside Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will become the largest theme park in Saudi Arabia. But that’s not all. The theme park will also feature some record-breaking rides, including Falcons Flight, which will be the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world.

The theme park also features the Spitfire, a record-setting triple launch roller coaster.

Other ride include a wooden hybrid roller coaster, a bumper car attraction, a steampunk-themed tilt roller coaster, the GyroSpin ride, a freefall tower ride, dark rides, interactive rides, water rides, and more. The park will open with 28 rides and also has 29 restaurants, as well as 25 shopping outlets.

This will be the first international Six Flags theme park outside of the U.S., although Six Flags previously had plans to build parks in both Dubai and China (but those projects were eventually canceled).

Tickets are available now on the Six Flags Qiddiya website, and we have a feeling this theme park is going to be super popular.
