It may surprise some of you, but when I go to Disney World, I’m actually not a big souvenir person.

You’ll rarely find me going on a shopping spree around Disney World or Disney Springs, mostly because I prefer my “souvenirs” to be the photos I take and memories I make (plus, I’m always traveling on a budget; my wallet would burst into flames if I bought all the merch I wanted). I’d be lying through my teeth, though, if I told you that I wasn’t tempted by lots of those cozy-looking sweatshirts and cuddly stuffed animals. They’re my downfall. However, there is one place I LOVE to visit that always gets me spending more money than I expected, it’s the Disney Character Warehouse. But this isn’t just any Disney merchandise store — it offers incredible discounts that help you save BIG on lots of official Disney merchandise.
There are two Disney Character Warehouse locations you can visit. One is located closer to Universal Orlando Resort at the Orlando International Premium Outlets, while the other location is just minutes from Disney World and located in the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. The Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets location is the larger of the two, but if you have the chance, I recommend visiting both, because they don’t always get the same merchandise!

You never know what you’ll find here, and that’s the BEST part! Since I don’t live locally, I can’t visit each week to see what’s new, but when I visit (which is usually about 4-5 weeks from my prior visit), I never fail to find new merchandise to check out.

I’ve found runDisney merchandise here, apparel only for Disney Vacation Club members, apparel from SO many different Disney IPs, Lug Bags, Loungefly Bags, the list goes on and on. And it’s all at a VERY steep discount. By that I mean, you may find a shirt or bag that was originally $35 in the park for as low as $13!

There are entire walls of Disney water bottles and mugs, toys of all kinds, and so much more. It’s truly a treasure hunt, and I can never get enough. The best part though is that it’s all very well organized! You’ll never be digging through bins to find a gem, or looking at items that are broken or have been shoved somewhere they weren’t supposed to be. While these stores are off Disney World property, all of this merchandise is truly FROM Disney, and it’s Cast Members who work at the store!

Personally, I’ve grabbed a few items from these stores on my past few visits, as I do still try to be careful with what I buy and not go overboard. Some of my favorites have been:
- A Merry Menagerie Penguin Puppet for $12.99 (original price $34.99)
- Disney World Mickey Mouse and Friends Crossbody Bag for $13 (original price $34.99)
- Pink Disney World Icons T-Shirt for about $13 (original price was around $30 if memory serves right)
- 2025 EPCOT Flower and Garden Spirit Jersey for around $24 (original price $79.99)
On my last visit, I also grabbed a Munchling for just $4.99, when they’re originally around $14!

Just in this past year, with the 4-5 different options I’ve grabbed from these stores, I’ve easily saved $150. My rule for myself is that unless there’s an item in the parks that I REALLY want, and don’t want to risk not finding it at the Disney Character Warehouse at a later time, I’ll wait to see if I get lucky enough to spot it at the stores. This way, it helps me save even more, because honestly, by the time it may arrive at the store, I’ve likely forgotten about the item in its entirety, so it’s almost like finding something I love all over again, for a much lower price!

However, another little tidbit I have to share with you to help you save even MORE, is that if you visit frequently, know that things are often marked down even further a few weeks after they arrive at the outlet store.

If you’ve got some extra time on your next vacation, I highly recommend checking one or both locations out — I promise, you’ll find at least one gem you didn’t expect to be there! I’ll be back in Orlando multiple times in the next few months, so I can’t wait to show you what other exciting discounted merchandise I can find!
