Those visiting Disneyland Resort on July 12th and 13th may encounter road closures and modified entrances. Be prepared to take an alternate route to Disneyland Resort — here’s what we suggest.

Protesters were seen near Disneyland just outside the park at an intersection close to the main entrance. Demonstrations could continue through the weekend. Those planning to visit the theme parks should prepare for additional security as they enter the parks.

At the Grand Californian Hotel, security tents were installed, and there was additional security in the area. According to The Orange County Register, Disneyland officials confirmed that security personnel are working with Disneyland Resort Security for “an upcoming guest visit.” Those who are checking into the Grand Californian Resort this weekend should be prepared for a longer check-in process due to additional security.

The Vice Presidential motorcade was believed to have been seen in Downtown Disney at the Grand Californian Hotel, per Fox 11 News. The area was sealed off with tight security in that location.

On July 11th, the protests caused Disney Way to temporarily close. To avoid further disruption, we recommend guests park at the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure, which is accessible via Disneyland Drive.

If you’re in Anaheim, be aware of any road closures or changes that could impact getting to Disneyland Resort. Allow additional travel time to get to the parks and resorts in case of new road closures or alternate routes.
