Planning a trip to Disney World and feeling like you’re up for a fancier way to get your day started? Don’t worry — we know JUST where to go!

Ravello Coaster

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney World restaurants — including where you should definitely eat, and where you should skip. We recently stopped by Ravello at Four Seasons Orlando, and we’re bringing you our FULL review!

Background

Most folks might hear “Ravello” and think of a classy Italian restaurant, that’s not all this restaurant is known for. In fact, it’s home to one of our favorite meals where you can meet Disney characters without having to purchase a Disney World park ticket.

Buffet plate

While the Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and His Pals is an incredible breakfast buffet with Disney characters, this meal only takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays, and select Tuesdays around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Here, you can meet Goofy and a few of his friends like Mickey and Minnie.

On other weekdays, though, Ravello serves a regular breakfast without characters. Since we had such a great time at their character breakfast, we needed a trip back to test just how well we liked the exclusive offering over a regular breakfast meal here.

You’ll find Ravello on the first floor of the Four Seasons Orlando. Just after you step out of the elevators, you’re immediately greeted by its charming entrance.

Entrance

As you step inside a small waiting area will be on your right, and the host stand to check in will be found to your immediate left.

Waiting area after check in

Once you’ve been successfully checked in, a host will walk you past the open buffet area and into the expansive dining area. This dining room is fairly large and open concept allowing you to see the entirety of the inside seating for the restaurant.

However, if you prefer, you can also request to be seated outside! There’s a smaller patio section where you can take your coffee and your food for a more intimate breakfast feel.

The inside of the restaurant might feel a bit dimly lit, but as someone who was dining early in the morning, it was much appreciated that I wasn’t met with the beams of harsh LED lights right above my head as I was trying to wake up.

Morning!

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.

Atmosphere

The inside decor looks and feels very homely, as if you’ve stepped outside into your villa kitchen in Italy. It certainly lends a hand to the upscale, classy, yet relaxed vibe they’ve worked to create here. You’ll see folks dressed up, or dressed down in preparation for the a visit to the parks and both are welcomed.

Large tables

The large tables were occupied by families with multiple kids and multi-generational families dining together. Inside is decorated with lots of key lights highlighting the deeper color pallet against the clean white and wooden tones accented by a vibrant orange. While the dining room is big, there are lots of decorative half walls…

…and decor like pots, pans, cooking boards, jars, and books that surround the seating and give it a grounded vibe.

Kitche decor

As soon as I was seated, my server met me with menus to review, explained the options to me, and gave me a few moments to myself to glance over the lists before me and make my selections before returning with coffee, cream, and sugar…

Coffee

…and banana bread bites. These were so light and delicious! They tasted so fresh and were moist to the touch, without leaving an overly ripe banana taste behind. It was definitely a tone-setter for what was to come!

But enough about that, what are we eating?!

Food & Drinks

The menu for breakfast here is fairly straightforward. You’ll have your options between a buffet for adults and kids or entrees.

Additionally, they’re broken down into Chef’s Selections, Healthy Starts, Griddled plates…

First up, we opted for the Breakfast Buffet for $45. This is made up of fresh fruits…

…salad selections including a small Caesar and Caprese salad…

…fresh baked pastries in all kinds flavors filled with fruit jams, warm bread, and of course some chocolate chips!

Pastries and breads

As you make your way around the corner there’s a small salmon and sushi station…

…followed by a bagel station complete with all of the toppings you could hope for and a toaster!

Descending down, there were even more fresh condiments like honeycomb and sauces that ranged wildly from sweet to hot right next to an omelet station!

Fresh honeycomb

A cereal bar was next in line featuring various types of sugary, sweets to multigrain flavors along with cold milk.

Hot breakfast items were to follow like eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes…

Hot breakfast

…and no big breakfast is complete without options of waffles, french toast, and pancakes!

Waffles, pancakes, and french toast

We loaded up our plates with as much as we could before our eyes got too big for our stomach and dug in!

Sauces

The eggs were cooked with butter and cheese and melted in our mouths with each new bite. The bacon was well cooked — firm and chewy, while still keeping that familiar greasy flavor without compromising it for super stiff brittle bites. The breakfast potatoes tasted like a dream! On their own they were soft, easy to cut into, and steaming, but after you coupled them in a bite with the rest of your plate it was easy to see why all of these things were offered so close together.

Ask me how many times I went back for more eggs!

We needed a little something extra, so we also grabbed the Dolce Latte French Toast for $24. It’s made of Thick Cut Brioche, Milk, Strawberries, Blueberries, Kiwi, Passion Fruit Whipped Cream. As a bonus, when you order an entree that features some of the items offered on the buffet (like this french toast plate) AND opt in to eat from the buffet, too, Ravello may discount select menu items like we found with this particular plate to just $10 instead of its regular posted price.

Dulce Latte French Toast

Ok — when we tell you we were left speechless by this french toast, we mean it! It had a stunning presentation — surrounded by various fruit and berries, while also being topped with flavored whipped cream and milk.

With the milk added

This is definitely a memorable french toast plate — there’s no doubt about it! The thick cut brioche was spongey enough to cut into while still needing an extra pull for the pieces to give way, the passion fruit flavored whipped cream against the drizzle of milk over top of it was creamy and delicious and gave a mascarpone-like  taste when mixed together. This already fantastic french toast was paired with such fresh cuts of fruit that you got bits of sweet and a tinge of sour in almost every bite of the strawberries, blueberries, and kiwi slices. This was truly an exceptional plate that wowed us, and we’re still dreaming about days later.

Fantastic!

As we were winding down our meal, our server suggested we try the Shot Flight. This is made of three drinks they’ve named Detox, Wake Up, and Immunity. As a flight when you order all three together it will cost you $14 but if you just want to order them individually they’re $6 each.

Juice Flight

Detox is made of honeydew, celery, and agave and it commands a presence! It’s very Earthy and that celery is so aromatic that its the stronger flavor both smell and taste wise to this shot. Wake Up is made of pineapple, ginger, and lime and was a bit more of a spiced drink. The ginger in this one was the most prominent flavor but we did get notes of the lime and pineapple with tapered the ginger flavor down and left a sweet yet sour taste. Immunity is made of ginger, lemon, turmeric, and local honey which was the sweeter of the three. Since it was more of an orange, we expected more of an herbal, savory flavor, but we were surprised to find that it leaned sweeter.

Of the three healthy shots, we felt like the Wake Up was our favorite, but we recognize the value in the combination of the flight and the appeal each different flavor would have.

Magic or Tragic?

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…

  • Convenience — if you’re staying at the Four Seasons Orlando and looking for a filling meal before heading out for your day’s adventure we could see how this would be a convenient option to reasonably land on.
  • You’re pleasing multiple tastes or picky eaters. With options of either an expansive buffet and plated entrees, this restaurant takes the guess work out of deciding on a meal where everyone will be satisfied to eat.
  • You’re looking for a great meal, with an upscale vibe. The service at this restaurant is exceptional, and you can tell they all take pride in their offerings, their treatment of their visitors, and your experience.

You should skip this Disney World spot if…

  • Price! This place is expensive if you’re coming here just to dine from somehwere else. Parking here is valet only and while the prices for the plates to dine are justifiable after your experience, know you’re in for a fee to park that’s rather hefty too.
  • It’s out of the way if you’re not driving or willing to taxi over. There’s no easy transportation over to The Four Seasons Orlando from Disney World’s parks unless you’re staying at the hotel as a guest. This almost forces you to take a taxi, rideshare service, or drive yourself over if you’re wanting to spend time here.
  • You looking for a certain place to meet characters. The character meal for breakfast offered here only happens on select days of the week. If characters are a big draw to your dining choice and these dates don’t align with your plans, that could be a drawback to choosing to dine here.
Fruit station

Overall, we were skeptical of how our experience would go paying for such a pricey meal, but after having experienced the atmosphere of the restaurant, and tasted its excellent food, there’s no question of a return trip in the future!
