REVIEW: We Cannot Stop Dreaming of This Brunch in Disneyland

Planning a trip to Disneyland and not sure where you should eat while you’re there? Luckily, you’ve come to the right place!

Disneyland

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney restaurants — including where you should definitely eat, and where you should skip. We recently stopped by River Belle Terrace at Disneyland and are bringing you our FULL review!

Background

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant. Located in Frontierland at Disneyland, this table-service restaurant offers scenic views and a familiar atmosphere. You may even catch a glimpse of the Mark Twain Riverboat gliding down the Rivers of America as you dine on food from a Southern menu loaded with charm.

The floral wallpaper and flowers on the tables create a home-style feel reminiscent of a southern home.

But enough about that, what are we eating?!

Food & Drinks

First up, we grabbed the Apple Pancake Rolls for $17. This is made with Apple Pie Topping, Walnut Streusel, and Cinnamon Chantilly Cream, served with Choice of Bacon or Sausage.

Apple Pancake Rolls

These pancake rolls were delicious. They tasted like a warm apple pie and really reminded us of fall — in the best way. They were soft, and the apple filling added a lot of flavor to this dish. The bacon was crispy and thick, and the sausage was surprisingly flavorful, with a crispy texture.

Delicious

Next, we tried the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich for $24. This dish is made with Fried Cherry Peppers, Pickle Coleslaw, and BBQ Aïoli with House Fries.

Fried Chicken Sandwich

Sadly, this was a bit of a letdown for our reporter. They found that it was so greasy. The BBQ aioli didn’t add much flavor, which left us wishing it packed more of a punch. However, if you are not a BBQ fan, you might not have a problem with the aioli because it is light. We did enjoy the fries. Our reporter said that they were similar to the film strip fries over at Award Weiners in California Adventure, but had a nice fry seasoning on them that left us wishing it came with more.

Finally, for dessert, we grabbed the Strawberry Shortcake Pudding for $12. This dessert is a cheesecake Pudding, Strawberry Streusel, and Vanilla Chantilly Cream.

Strawberry Shortcake Pudding

This was a light and refreshing dessert. It reminded us of a beautiful summer day. The sweet chantilly cream paired perfectly with the fresh and sweet strawberries. We recommend this to anyone who loves a light, fruity dessert that is sweet yet refreshing.

Magic or Tragic?

This Disneyland restaurant is a must-visit if…

  • You’re looking for a great breakfast option
  • You want to relax and sit down for brunch inside the park
  • You want a relaxing atmosphere with great views that doesn’t feel overly fancy

You should skip this spot if…

  • You aren’t a brunch fan.
  • You aren’t willing to sit down for a meal in the middle of your park day.
  • You might not love Southern comfort food.
River Belle Terrace

In our opinion, River Belle Terrace is a great restaurant in Disneyland! This is especially true as not many restaurants are offering brunch. We suggest checking the menu online ahead of time to see if you and your party will enjoy the offerings at Brunch or Dinner here. If the menu sounds good to everyone, we think it’s a choice you won’t regret.
