This Has to Be the Weirdest Rule EVER at Disney World

There’s one Disney World that might catch you off guard, and it involves food.

Mickey Pretzels are a classic!

There are so many delicious snacks to choose from while on your Disney vacation — Mickey pretzels, popcorn, ice cream, and more. But there is one food you will not find inside of the parks, hotels, or anywhere on Disney property, and that’s because it’s against the rules.

A long-standing “tradition” of sorts in Disney World is that you won’t find chewing gum ANYWHERE for sale — not in the theme parks, hotels, or Disney Springs. Yep. That’s the rule: Disney World does not sell gum. But why?

You’ll find LOADS of candy, but NO gum in Disney World

Just picture it — Cast Members having to scrape up gum every night! It’s to help maintain the cleanliness of the parks. If you insist on chewing gum, be sure to pack some in your bag before you leave home, or you’ll be out of luck.

Unless you pack some in your luggage, don’t expect to find any chewing gum around, including at the Orlando International Airport. This is good to know in case you use gum to help relieve the pressure in your ears while flying, you’ll want to pack your own. You can find TONS of other candy, though, including gummies, chocolates, and mints at Disney World.
