The new additions are going to have business class suites, the greatest number of total premium seats in United’s fleet, an Ossetra caviar amuse-bouche service, Starlink connectivity, and even larger 4K OLED seatback screens. Talk about elite quality travel!

These new suites are going to be called the “United Polaris Studio suites”. They are located in the first row of each business class section. There are a total of eight seats, and they have amazing features — they lie flat and are “all-aisle-access seats”. These seats are 25% larger than the already existing United Polaris seats with privacy doors. They’ll also have an extra ottoman seat for companions, exclusive entrée options, new amenity kits with luxury skincare offerings, wireless charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and more! Yes, more!

The airline turned it up a notch by adding more new upgrades outside of the suites! Standard United Polaris seats are getting new features — including sliding doors and 19-inch 4K OLED screens.  On top of that, each passenger flying United Polaris business class will have access to the airline’s lounges.

United is clearly looking to provide a more luxurious option. It was even noted that improvements to the nose, all the way to the tail, will be getting a refurbishment.

Barring any setbacks, United is expecting that the upgraded luxuries of the United 787-9 planes will be ready before the end of 2025. The first international passenger flights are planned to begin in 2026. United flies to a whopping 147 international destinations — making all of United’s future 787 passengers accessible to experience United Polaris Studio suites and elevated interiors. Looking towards the future, United is hoping to add around 30 more of these planes to join the fleet by 2027.
