The Unspoken Dress Code Gen X Is Following at Disney World Hotels

Okay, let’s talk, Gen X. You know who you are…

Keith Haring Socks

You lived through the era of 80s pop and grunge music. You witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall. You sported Doc Martens. Your favorite movie was The Breakfast Club. You have an AARP membership (but, it’s for the Disney discounts, right?). If you’re visiting Disney World hotels, there’s a very specific kind of dress code you’re probably following — and it’s all about comfort (yep, the Doc Martens don’t go to Disney).

When it comes to comfort, Gen X has ditched its Doc Martens for something  more comfortable, especially when walking around those huge Disney World resorts. These Skechers Go Walk Slip-Ons are PERFECT for that.

Three words: memory foam insoles. That is something a lot of us look for in a shoe now. These will keep your feet comfy at the hotels and at the parks. Plus they come in a variety of colors.

Speaking of keeping our feet comfort, sometimes we need even more cushioning inside our shoes for those long days. The Dr. Scholls Sports Insoles are designed to prevent muscle fatigue and stress on your joints.

Yep, those are things Gen X has to worry about. But we put insoles in almost all our shoes now.

So the younger generations don’t wear Minnie Ears as much anymore, and that’s a shame because Gen X will be wearing things like these Minnie Mouse Sequined Ears every day in the park FOREVER.

The sequins are especially nice because they add some pizazz and a pop of color to our comfy outfits (that are often all black).

Remember how we talked about comfort? Gone are the days of cute outfits in the parks — we’ll just dress up a pair of these Yoga Pants that come in a 3-pack in a ton of colors.

These are super soft and stretchy and they even have pockets. Plus they look good on just about everyone.

Gen X feet can’t quite take the beating they once did, plus we try to take care of them way more now than we’re older. This Moleskin Set is great for putting on those hot spots and blisters or anywhere shoes might rub your foot raw.

We love how this pack has all kinds of different pre-cut shapes to fit just about anywhere on your foot. Plus you get 110 pieces, so you’ll have all you need.

Gen X’ers are going to be in pain at their hotel after a long day in the parks. That’s why we’ll be slapping on a Salonpas Pain Relieving Patch on our backs, knees, shoulders, and everywhere else that’s hurting.

These patches can provide relief for up to eight hours, and they’re a must.

Finally, walking around those massive resorts is nice, but we like to bring shade with us wherever we go, so you’ll see us sporting this Mini Travel Umbrella that is small enough to keep in our bag, but big enough to protect us from the sun.

Mini UV Umbrella

This umbrella blocks harmful UV rays, too, so you’re getting shade and protection.
