Witches and wizards, listen up! Grab your wands and head to Universal!

One of the best parts of the Harry Potter areas around Universal is the interactive wands, where you can cast your own spells, and it’s about to get a whole lot better.
Starting March 1st, new interactive wands will be available at Universal Orlando!

These second-generation interactive wands will have light and haptic effects and be customizable. Within the Universal Orlando app, you can create your own Wizard profile with your Hogwarts House, Patronus, and more.

The wands will be available in 4 new designs, letting users collect points for their Hogwarts House. Each spell will earn points and add to their Wizarding Level, which will unlock more spells and adventures. Each day, a House Cup will be awarded to the house that gains the most points!

These new wands will be available at Ollivanders Wand Shop in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique in Place Cachée, and other locations throughout the resort. They will start at $85 each.

New challenges will also be available where guests can “explore exclusive adventures varying in level of expertise and completion time that will enhance their Wizarding Level and mastery of magic within The Wizarding World.”

Ready to test out your new spellcasting skills? There will be five new interactive wand locations in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, bringing the total to 30 within the two areas!

The new experiences include The Duelling Club Tent, where guests can test their dueling spells, The Owl Post, where you’ll need to stop fairies from stealing packages, Knockturn Alley Staircase, where you’ll have to cast your patrons after a dementor, Ariadne’s Spinners, where you’ll have to repel spiders, and Knockturn Alley Sky, where you get to control the weather!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, opening at Epic Universe on May 22nd, will have 14 magic locations. Guests will be able to go on adventures to find the Philosopher’s Stone and interact with magical creatures like Nifflers or Demiguises and more!
