Heading on a cruise soon?

Not only do you need to plan your excursions, what to wear, and what documents to bring, but it’s important to focus on your health as well. Norovirus outbreaks are becoming more popular on cruise lines lately and another case has been reported.
About 90 guests and crew members on a Holland America Line cruise have gotten sick from a norovirus outbreak, according to USA Today.
79 guests and 9 crew members were reported sick during the cruise, but according to Holland America, “cases were mostly mild and quickly resolved.”

The ship departed Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on February 19th for a 10-day Caribbean cruise. It stopped in Turks and Caicos, the Dominican Republic, Aruba, and other places.
Sickness can be hard to handle on a cruise due to the close living quarters, but many cruises have taken precautions after the COVID-19 pandemic, which specifically targeted cruises.

If you’re heading on a cruise soon, don’t worry! There are plenty of precautions you can take to help keep yourself healthy. The biggest one is to wash your hands. Taking the time before and after meals and activities can help keep those germs at bay.
It’s also important to stay hydrated, but make sure you are drinking safe water from the ship and try to avoid tap water at ports.

Disney Cruise Line has made a lot of announcements recently about new ships and shows but also is passing CDC sanitation inspections with flying colors! They earned two 100 scores on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish in January and November. The ships were checked 7 times with no score lower than 95!
The CDC is aware of the outbreaks and is working to ensure that every trip is safe! Stay tuned to AllEars to stay up to date on news affecting your vacations.
