Okay, I made a huge mistake during a recent Disney World trip.

Now, we are ALWAYS telling you about how important it is to wear the right shoes to Disney World, but I ignored our advice and bought some shoes on Amazon because they were $20. They were like knock-off Skechers and the reviews were decent, and I needed them to go with a Disneybound outfit and I didn’t want to break the bank. Well, let’s just say, I PAID THE PRICE FOR MY HASTY DECISION.
Okay, so I’m going to make some shoe recommendations that ARE NOT the shoes I bought, and they’re also from Amazon. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can sign up for a free trial below:
First, though, let’s get back to my story. I wore these shoes for a half day at Magic Kingdom, and let’s just say they didn’t have enough cushioning and the sole was way too thin. I ended up with blisters on ALL ten of my toes. I took a midday break to go back to my hotel room and change into some much heftier sneakers (and pad my toes with moleskin and blister bandages), but the damage was already done. I was still limping for a few days in Disney World. Never again!
So don’t do what I did. There are still some great sneaker deals to be found on Amazon, and that means you can find a good comfortable shoe that you can walk all day in when you’re at Disney World without causing pain. That includes these actual Skechers Sport Loving Life Sneakers that have that wonderful memory foam (my knock-offs did not) that will keep your feet cushioned all day long.

These are also easy to slip on and off and come in a variety of colors and styles. Skechers are usually my go-to Disney shoes, and now, I’ve learned my lesson!
So the next pair of shoes I’ll recommend is the Adidas Cloudfoam Pure Sneakers. These are my NEW favorite Disney sneakers because walking around in them feels like walking on air. It’s funny because we’ve recommended these before and I just got a pair this year and now I know WHY we recommend them.

These also come in a variety of colors plus Amazon often marks these down so you could even get them at a discount.
Another pair of shoes that our team LOVES that won’t break the bank is the Ryka Devotion Walking Shoes — these sneakers are literally MADE for tons of walking. These also come in a variety of styles to match your outfits.

They also have responsive cushioning for shock absorption and impact protection.
So don’t make my mistake. Shoes for Disney World are an investment — you’ll want to protect your feet so that you don’t spend half your vacation limping from ride to ride like I did. You don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars, though, to find the right shoes, just beware of those that are super cheap because in most cases, you really do get what you pay for.
