You might want to rethink your Disney World trip in 2025…

That’s because Epic Universe, Universal’s brand new theme park, will make its debut! While Universal has not announced an exact opening date just yet, we know the park is set to open to the public sometime next year and there is SO much in store. Everyone has (understandably) been obsessed with what’s going on inside the theme park, but now we have another exciting update!
Over at CityWalk, things are changing. Universal just announced that in 2025, the Universal Studios Store will EXPAND with brand new themed sections. That’s right — two new dedicated areas featuring Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter are in the works!

First, the Super Nintendo World section will add an all-new entrance to the store “inspired by the colorful landscapes and beloved characters from the Nintendo video games.” The merchandise will of course feature your favorites including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong.

Harry Potter fans — you are in for a treat. The new Wizarding World section of the shop will have merchandise dedicated to all three lands from Hogsmeade to Diagon Alley to the Ministry of Magic (opening at Epic Universe in 2025).

The best part? This section of the store will include a NEW place to grab Butterbeer! Yep, you won’t even need a park ticket to grab one of these delectable treats anymore. The cold, frozen, hot, and vegan varieties will be available here.
Universal also noted that you’ll find “other specialty items from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at a new dedicated counter.” We can’t wait to see what else is coming!

Remember, Epic Universe is getting two new lands themed around these worlds! Super Nintendo World will have exciting action-packed attractions including a Donkey Kong-themed Mine Cart Coaster. Don’t want to wait? Universal Hollywood and Universal Japan have their own Super Nintendo World lands.

The third Harry Potter-themed land at Universal Orlando will take you into the worlds of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. On top of new dining options and a gorgeous atmosphere, you’ll be able to board a ride through the Ministry of Magic!

More details about the store, including its opening date, will be revealed “in the months ahead”, according to Universal.

Great to be able to buy a Butterbeer without having a park ticket, or to walk all the way to the back of the parks!
