One of the most unique ways to do Disney World is by running through it via runDisney!

Several event weekends are held each year with a variety of courses including everything from 5Ks (which you probably already walk on any given day in the parks) to marathons. In 2025, the first major event is the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and now we have a look at the medals you could earn!
From January 8th-12th, 2025, runners will travel to Florida for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! All of the races are sold out, so unless you are already registered, you’re out of luck. If you ARE registered, here’s a look at the 2025 medals!
First up is the 5K — Pluto will be congratulating everyone who completed the race!

Double the length and double the trouble! The 10K race comes with a Chip and Dale medal in 2025.

Donald and Daisy are cheering for you at the finish line on the medal for the Half Marathon. Bonus points if you dress up like these two during the race!

The Marathon medal features the most iconic Disney characters of all time. That’s right — it’s Mickey and Minnie, of course!

Up for a challenge? Then you probably signed up for the Goofy Race and a Half Challenge! Totaling 39.3 miles, you’ll need to complete the Half Marathon and Marathon. Don’t worry, this is in ADDITION to the medals above!

Finally, the biggest prize of the weekend is the Dopey Challenge medal! This is for anyone who completes the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, AND Marathon. Yep, that’s every single race. The medal is pretty epic, though!
