Fireworks are an iconic way to end your Disney World day!
But as sunset gets later in the spring and summer months, Disney is forced to change the time of the fireworks because … well, it needs to be dark for the show to have its full effect! Let’s take a look at the latest schedule change for the fireworks at Magic Kingdom.
Happily Ever After is the current nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom. In addition to fireworks, it uses lights, lasers and other special effects to tell some favorite Disney stories.
The show includes projections on Cinderella Castle and down Main Street, U.S.A. It has been running nightly at 8:45PM, but starting on April 21st, Happily Ever After will shift to a later start time — 9PM. The fireworks will continue starting at 9PM through May 11th.
If you’re visiting later in May, the fireworks will move to a 9:20PM start time beginning May 12th.
