Some Disney souvenirs make sense and others are just “out there”!!
We know you’re always on the lookout for the latest and greatest sales on Disney merch, but we wanted to take a quick pause from that to talk about some of the most unhinged souvenirs we’ve seen Disney release this year! Let’s jump right in!
Now let’s get right to it!
First up, we’ve got to talk about this Disney Legacy Animated Film Collection.
Check out the contents:
At basically $1,500, this collection is just mind-blowing! It has 100 Disney and Pixar animated films on Blu-ray discs, an engraved crystal Mickey ears hat, and more. It’s interesting that they would offer this when they’re pushing everyone to Disney+, but what do we know?
In honor of the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi, Disney released this Wicket Ewok Collectors Plush!
This thing is three feet tall (!!!) and looks just like Wicket from the films. Collectibles like this don’t usually stay in stock for long, so grab it while you can!
Next up, check out this Disney100 Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Limited Edition Doll Set.
You’ll find Mickey and Minnie Mouse dressed in their platinum and purple best. There’s something strange going on with these dolls, however. In our opinion, they look a bit…creepy. Is it their shoulders or Minnie’s legs? We’re not sure, but these dolls have a strange aesthetic going on! But since they showcase the anniversary, maybe we can get over it?!
Next up, check out this Disney100 Years of Wonder Retro Reimagined Plaid Fleece Plush Collector Set (5-Pack).
Nobody warned us before we saw this set, and now it might haunt our dreams forever. It kind of looks okay, maybe even cute from a distance, but up close, it’s terrifying. Donald’s eyes seem to be staring at you from beyond the abyss and the other’s aren’t much better either.
Next on the list is the Madame Leota Costume Accessory Set for Adults.
Even though Madame Leota is one of our favorites when we visit the Haunted Mansion ride, there’s no way we were ready to see this costume set in the flesh, but to each their own.
Next, we’ve got to talk about Hyundai’s exclusive IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum Concept Car that was shown at the 2023 New York Auto Show to mark Disney’s 100th Anniversary. Hyundai collaborated with Walt Disney Imagineering to create unique elements on the car that were inspired by Disney like special lighting effects and music.
Well, this car has gone from a concept to a reality. The car will officially go on sale to the public in early 2024 (so it wasn’t released this year, but at least mentioned). But if you’re serious about buying this car, you’ll have to act fast — only 1,000 total units will be made.

Last, let’s talk about a collab between Disney and Vespa (you know, as in those cool scooters you might have seen in Luca) to create a Mickey Mouse Edition by Vespa. According to the Vespa website, the Mickey edition of the Vespa Primavera 50cc and 150cc are done in Mickey’s signature colors: black, red, white, and yellow.
Now, the scooter isn’t available yet, so we don’t have an exact price on it, but if you ever wanted to make your way around your city or town in true Mickey style, this is certainly the way to do it. You can sign up on the Vespa website to get more details when they’re released.
