The monorail at Disney World is a very common form of transportation. It can take you to two Disney parks, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, as well as three Disney World hotels. But, you might have noticed a major issue with riding it.
There are three monorail routes at Walt Disney World. They all intersect at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), which means you can connect to any one of them from there. However, since we’re at Disney World every day and we often ride the monorail, we’ve noticed a trend.

We overhear a lot of guests getting on the wrong monorail. This is especially true when guests are looking to switch over to the EPCOT monorail. Listen, we get it — it can be pretty confusing!

Some guests, especially first-time guests, don’t know the difference between the three tracks and they don’t know they have to actually switch trains to get between EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom or monorail resorts.

But, we thought of something that would be SO HELPFUL to guests on the monorail — a MAP. Similar to how subway or metro trains have a map posted in the cars of the system, Disney could post them inside every monorail car on the wall.

This could help guests who are first-timers or guests who are non-English speakers be able to easily read the monorail layout and know where to get off. Trust us, we’ve heard way too many times “Wait, I thought we were going to Magic Kingdom” when the monorail arrives at the TTC from EPCOT. So who knows, maybe we can see some maps inside those train cars soon.
