Shhh… we’re sharing some great shortcuts around Disney World because friends don’t gatekeep.

Okay, so some of these shortcuts might not be a complete secret, but there are often-overlooked ways to get around in the parks. Whether you’re trying to avoid crowds or just take a fun route, sometimes it’s worth taking the road less traveled.
Magic Kingdom
There are a few shortcuts in Magic Kingdom and we recently told you about one of them. There is a walkway between TRON Lightcycle/Run and Storybook Circus. The path spits you out right near the entrance to TRON. This shaves off a pretty good bit of time, especially if you find yourself in the parks on a very crowded day.

The next shortcut takes you from Tomorrowland to Main Street USA. If you turn left at the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, you can follow the famous purple wall to end up right beside the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.

This path allows you to get away from the crowds by the castle and the hub and is mostly shaded as well. There are even bathrooms on this route which hardly anyone knows about since they are in Tomorrowland Terrace.

Finally, at Magic Kingdom, there is a walkway from Liberty Square to Adventureland. As you are entering Liberty Square, take a left beside Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe.

This path will lead you beside the famous spring roll cart and there are even tables behind the Christmas shop. You’ll walk over the bridge and be right in Adventureland. This path is great especially during parade times because it allows you to bypass the parade route.

EPCOT
If you are heading to the World Showcase from the front of the park and you’re someone who likes to start the right way in the World Showcase — in Mexico, then this shortcut is for you. Between Test Track and the Refreshment Station, you’ll find a path to the Odessy building.

This building is sometimes used during festivals, like the Food and Wine Festival. If the building is open, cut through it for some bathrooms and AC. If the building is not open, no problem, just follow the path around the building and you’ll be in Mexico in no time.

The next shortcut we don’t see a lot of people using is the boats on the World Showcase Lagoon. These boats are known as Friendship boats and can save you a lot of walking.

The Friendship Boats on World Showcase Lagoon run between Canada and Morocco and between Mexico and Germany. These are slow ways to navigate World Showcase, but the views and the opportunity to sit and rest are welcome.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
In Hollywood Studios, the park layout is a little different. There aren’t too many alternative paths but we have two shortcuts you can use. If you’re wanting to get from the middle of the park near Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway to Galaxy’s Edge, take the path by ABC Commissary.

Along this route, you’ll pass right by Sci-Fi Dine-In and end up by Baseline Tap House. While this isn’t necessarily a secret path, it can definitely save you some steps.

Another shortcut that is similar is the walkway around Echo Lake to Backlot Express. This path can take you from the shops at the main entrance of the park, past 50s Prime Time Cafe, and connect you to Star Tours.

While this path probably won’t save you time, it is usually a lot less crowded. Plus you get to walk by Gertie and who doesn’t love that giant green dinosaur?
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is known for its secret paths and shortcuts to inspire adventure in guests. The first one is a shortcut between Africa and Asia. To the left of Caravan Road, there is a path that is shaded and even has tables to sit at under a shelter.

It will lead you right beside a guest experience station in Africa near the Harambe Market. This path is wonderful for taking a break from the crowds and enjoying a snack.

The last path is not a secret, but we tend to not see a lot of traffic on it which makes the path a nice walk. There is a path from Pandora to Africa that takes you along a bridge along the water.

The path is usually shaded with trees and you can sometimes see some characters riding by on Floatillas. This is also a great path to take if you rope drop Flight of Passage and want to head to the safari next.
