A LOT is going on with the Walt Disney Company right now.

Not only is the company celebrating its 100th anniversary but there are also MULTIPLE projects in the pipeline right now — from new rides to new restaurants in Disney Parks around the world, and lots of new films in theaters and Disney+. Disney has confirmed the opening timelines for MANY of those projects so let’s go through EVERYTHING you need to know.
On May 10th, Disney released its earnings report and held its earnings call for the second quarter of the 2023 fiscal year. Thanks to that call and report, we learned some HUGE news about Disney+ subscriber numbers, how the parks are doing financially, CEO Bob Iger’s thoughts on the Reedy Creek District drama with Governor Ron DeSantis, and MORE.

Along with the earnings report came some supplemental materials detailing certain updates at the Company and confirming some critical outlines for major Disney parks and experiences projects. For the Disney Parks, these materials confirmed opening timelines for projects at Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Disney World, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disney Resort, and Tokyo Disney Resort.
While these timelines are not necessarily new — it is interesting to see Disney confirm them and list them all in one spot.

Here are the big things you should know:
- Rogers: The Musical confirmed to open at Disney California Adventure Park on June 30th, 2023
- San Fransokyo Square confirmed to open at Disney California Adventure Park this summer
- Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana confirmed to open at EPCOT in fall 2023

- Adventureland Treehouse confirmed to open in Disneyland in 2023
- Disney Cruise Line’s NEW private island Lighthouse Point confirmed to open summer 2024
- Disney Treasure (new cruise ship) confirmed to become available 2024
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure confirmed to open in Disneyland and Disney World in 2024
You can see more critical timelines below.

Disney also released opening timelines for upcoming movie releases, including the live-action The Little Mermaid, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Haunted Mansion, The Marvels, Wish, and more.

Finally, we’ve even got opening timelines for upcoming Disney+ and Hulu releases, including Secret Invasion, season 1 of Ahsoka, and more. Also listed are shows that don’t yet have opening timelines including season 2 of Loki and Skeleton Crew.

These don’t reflect dates for every single project going on in the parks or studios, but it’s a good start and a great way to keep your must-watch and must-visit lists organized.
It’s going to be a busy few years for the Disney company, but we’re looking forward to seeing the new attractions, lands, movies, and TV shows set to open or release in 2023 and 2024. Be sure to stay tuned for more updates as all of these dates get closer and more opening dates are revealed.
