As much as you plan a Disney World trip, your days can actually be pretty unpredictable!
Lightning lanes can sell out, rides close for a variety of reasons, and a random Florida rainstorm pops up — things happen sometimes! Today in Magic Kingdom, one of the most popular rides temporarily closed.
We looked at the My Disney Experience app where we saw that Space Mountain was listed as temporarily closed. So, we went over to investigate!
We saw a line of Cast Members outside the attraction with many guests asking questions. Nobody was in the queue when we stopped by and it was unclear when the ride would reopen.
If you’re in the parks when a popular ride is closed, keep checking the My Disney Experience app. Wait times are constantly updated in the app so you’ll be able to see when a ride closes and reopens.
UPDATE: As of 2:30PM ET, Space Mountain is open to guests with a 60 minute wait time.
