Disney Legend Angela Lansbury Passed Away

We’re sad to report that Dame Angela Lansbury passed away today at the age of 96.

Her professional career lasted over 75 years, during which time she won 5 Tony Awards and acted in several classic Disney movies.

Dame Angela Lansbury’s children announced that their mother “died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1:30 AM today, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, just five days shy of her 97th birthday.” Lansbury is survived by her brother, children, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Dame Lansbury’s career achievements include starring in “Murder, She Wrote” (the longest-running detective drama series in the history of television), winning 5 Tony Awards for Broadway roles, winning the Olivier Award for her role in “Blithe Spirit,” and many other notable feats.

Disney fans will recognize Dame Lansbury from classics like Fantasia 2000, Beauty and the Beast, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Mary Poppins Returns.  She became a Disney Legend in 1995.
