Traveling can be a really stressful experience, but it doesn’t always have to be.

Many people traveling to and from Disney World end up visiting Orlando International Airport, which sees millions of passengers every year. They’re all about making your life easier right now, and you won’t want to miss out on a way to get through security faster.
Orlando International Airport (MCO) tweeted today about the free Reservation Lane, a way to get a shorter security line from 5AM to 11AM daily. All you have to do is register a time slot before you visit!
Plan ahead & reserve a time slot to go through security at the free Reservation Lane. Just show up at that time, scan your reservation and go through an exclusive and shorter lane. Available on both checkpoints, from 5am-11am.

So how far in advance do you have to book? This will probably vary, but when we checked the website today we put in tomorrow’s date to see what options we’d have. You also have to choose the airline you’ll be using. Note that when we put in today’s date, there were NO reservations available.

You enter the number of passengers on the next screen…

…and then you can pick from a range of times to get through security! We saw lots of times available for tomorrow, but this will likely vary due to peak travel times or party size, so don’t wait too long to book your free Reservation Lane. Did we mention it’s FREE?!

Make sure you mark your calendar so you don’t forget to book your Reservation Lane!
Update: Note that there has been a slight name change when it comes to this lane. In a recent tweet, Orlando International Airport shared that the Reservation Lane is now called MCO Reserve. Those heading to the airport can reserve their time slot to go though security 72 hours prior to their flight.
Update: The Reservation Lane is now MCO Reserve. You can reserve a time slot to go through security (72 hours prior to your flight). Just show up at that time, scan your reservation & go through an exclusive, shorter lane for free.

Delete thissss. This is the only way I’m able to get to my flights as a local Floridian lol
Free for now…but for how long?
You mention how far in advance you can make a reservation, and the answer is now through July 2022! So I am guessing it will be up to 6 months ahead. The bad part is, if you are checking luggage when you arrive at MCO, you don’t really know how long that will take so making a reservation may be guess work. Sometimes it doesn’t take very long to check your bags & sometimes it does. Each person will just have to decide I guess but it does at least sound appealing!
Any thoughts on whether this is likely to be better/faster than TSA pre-check? If you have pre-check and you use this, do you still get to avoid things like taking off shoes?
