To get into Disney World, you scan your ticket (your card or MagicBand) and your finger at the entrance, and then the scanner should glow green and ding, which means you’re ready to start your day.

Sometimes Disney World will have special colors or sounds at the entrance, especially for special occasions. One group of guests will get a special welcome to the parks (from a fan-favorite Disney World character) each time they scan in.
Disney announced that Annual Passholders will now get a special color and sound sequence each time they scan their pass to enter the parks.

Instead of just turning green with that familiar ding, the scanner will glow purple for a moment, and there’s a new sound to go along with it.
