Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, Mulan, Lady and the Tramp, Aladdin— the list goes on and on. Their live-action version of The Lion King was incredibly successful, becoming the highest grossing animated movie of all time (which seems contradictory to the whole “live-action” thing). Disney previously announced that The Lion King‘s live-action movie would be getting a sequel, which was later revealed to actually be a prequel, and we have news about the project!

Disney describes the film as live-action as it will use the photorealistic animation technology used on the previous Lion King live-action movie.
