Cast Members Are Blocked Out From Visiting Disney World Next Month

It has been a rough year for many people, including Disney Cast Members.

Many were furloughed or laid off in the past several months and several still haven’t been called back to work. Recently, it was announced that Disney World employees would be offered a free night in a resort hotel as an extra perk. This was exciting news for those hardworking people, but now they’re losing a different perk temporarily.

For the entire month of May, Disney Cast Members are blocked out from visiting the Walt Disney World theme parks. The online calendar only shows dates as far as May 31st right now, but everything from now until then is unavailable.

It’s important to note that availability can change frequently and at the last minute, so keep that in mind if you’re a Cast Member looking to go to the parks. Check the online block-out dates frequently to see if things change ahead of the day that you want to visit.

  1. What is the point of a resort stay if we can’t use the park. This block out is ridiculous and if cast members are not getting to use this perk then they need to replace it with a monetary perk. I feel that Disney is abusing their cast members by working 6 days a week and not having time to spend with their families or enjoying one of the main benefits of working at Disney.
