NEWS: Furloughed Cast Members Being Recalled to Disneyland Resort

The Disneyland Resort theme parks have been closed for a year now, but it’s expected that they’ll soon get the chance to reopen.

The A Touch of Disney Event at Disney California Adventure begins this week, slowly bringing life back into the park, but the parks may reopen “for real” in April (under certain conditions). With the hopes of reopening, it also stands to reason that many Cast Members will be called back to work, and we’ve got some information on which ones that might be!

According to a post on the Facebook page for the Workers United Local 50 union, a wave of recall was set to begin yesterday, Monday, March 15th. The post shared that it would be the first of many waves and would have a return to work date of March 28th.

With this recall, all Local 50 Area Chefs and Chefs are expected to be brought back, as well as the filling of 10 scheduling positions, and 58 QSR (Quick Service Restaurants) positions. The QSR positions are for Receiver Lead, Receiver Assistants, and Receiver Assistant Trainers.
