Raya and the Last Dragon premiered on Disney+ today!
There’s a stunning sand sculpture to see in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and now there’s some new art inspired by the movie for fans on the West Coast. At Downtown Disney, you can see this new addition on display!
This new art installation was created by Imagineer Xiao Qing Chen, and it’s a truly gorgeous representation of the characters from Raya and the Last Dragon!
Qing was born and raised in Malaysia, and has been working with Disney for a couple of years now. This piece of art was inspired by Batik, which is a Southeast Asian type of fabric design. It traditionally includes the use of wax and dyes.
