WandaVision released on Disney+ last week with two perplexing and mystifying premiere episodes.
The first episodes set up the series displaying superheroes Wanda and Vision happily married in a 1950s sitcom. The concept trailers show the couple “traveling” through space and time through different eras. As far as the real timeline, Marvel fans were curious exactly when all of this is taking place.
Vision seemingly dies at the end of Avengers: Infinity War when Thanos not-so-gently retrieves the Mind Stone from Vision’s forehead. WandaVision shows Vision totally intact and alive. Obviously, people have had some questions about this.
According to IGN, Teyonah Parris, who plays the adult version of Monica Rambeau, has cleared up the confusion a bit. Parris has confirmed that the series “picks up right after” the events of Avengers: Endgame. This also means that it takes place years after Captain Marvel when we last saw Rambeau as a young girl.
This statement still begs a lot of questions. Is Vision still dead and a manifestation of Wanda’s imagination? Did he come back for real? Previously, there were talks of an outlined scene that would have teased Vision coming back. The scene would have been placed at the end of Avengers: Endgame but was eventually scrapped. It looks like we’ll have to tune into the rest of the series to find out!
