We have an important update for CBS viewers. Hollywood executives are reviewing their 2024–2025 television schedules, and several popular shows are on the chopping block.

We recently reported on several surprising series cancelations, including The Good Doctor, Schmigadoon, and more. But now, two more shows will not be picked up for another season on CBS. Let’s take a look.
CBS’s So Help Me Todd and CSI: Vegas have been canceled by the network, according to The Hollywood Reporter. So Help Me Todd was a comedy crime drama starring Marcia Gay Harden and Skylar Astin. The show follows a talented P.I. who agrees to work as an investigator for his mother, who is dealing with the aftermath of her marriage.

Additionally, CSI: Vegas, which ran for three seasons, is also coming to an end. The show featured a sharp team of forensic investigators working to serve justice via crime scene investigation techniques in Los Vegas.

The Hollywood Reporter stated that CSI: Vegas averages roughly 6.4 million viewers per episode in Nielsen’s seven-day linear ratings, while So Help Me Todd sees about 6.3 million viewers. CSI: Vegas actress Marg Helgenberger took to Instagram to comment on the news. Helgenberger played Catherine Willows on both CSI and CSI: Vegas.

The caption reads, in part, “Each & every person involved with the making of this series brought their A game each & every day,” adding, “It was truly a pleasure & honor to work/play alongside such a fun & talented company of story tellers. Immeasurable thanks & gratitude to all for making this experience such a memorable ride. And to all the fans; we did it all for you.”

Helgenberger’s co-star, Lex Medlin, shared a post of his own, stating, “I am going to miss this cast and crew so very much. Most of all I’ll miss Beau. He was so fun to play. Thanks all for the support. On to the next adventure.” Medlin plays CSI Level I Beau Finado on the show.

Note that some canceled shows later get picked up by other networks, so these shows may find their way to another channel or streaming platform in the future. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest pop culture news, so stay tuned for more.
