During the summer of 2019 it was announced that Disney Channel was going to produce an animated supernatural buddy comedy called The Curse of Molly McGee.
As we get closer to New York Comic Con next month, we’ve also gotten an update on the show, including a new title and even logo!
The Curse of Molly McGee will now be known as The Ghost and Molly McGee! The newly released logo has already got us looking forward to the show’s 2021 premiere.
Disney described the upcoming series as following “tween optimist Molly, who lives to make the world a better place, and grumpy ghost Scratch, whose job is to spread misery. When one of Scratch’s curses backfires, he finds himself forever bound to Molly.”
Emmy Award-winning actress Ashly Burch (Adventure Time) will be providing the voice of Molly, while Dana Snyder (Aqua Team Hunger Force) will voice Scratch.
In order to promote the upcoming show, Burch and Snyder, along with show creators Bill Motz and Bob Roth, and executive producer Steve Loter (Kim Possible), will be participating in a virtual panel at New York Comic-Con. Their panel will be Friday October 9th at 1:50PM EST. We’ll keep you updated on any further details!
