A new Muppet series premiered today on Disney+ called Muppets Now. In celebration, here is a history of the Muppets at Walt Disney World.
While not in production due to the new COVID-19 restrictions at the Magic Kingdom, The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History debuted back in 2016.

The Muppet version of American history was, shall we say, unique and fun. Hopefully, the show will return in the future.
Muppet characters tended to show up in the places you least expected them. Over in Epcot’s Future World, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker would take a spin in their Muppet Mobile Lab to the delight of guests.

As one could imagine, Beaker had a way of creating some explosive experiments.
Back in 1991, Jim Hensen’s Muppet*Vision 3D opened to rave reviews even with the heckling of Statler & Waldorf from the balcony during each show.

Thankfully, the show is still going strong regardless of the theater being blown up at the end of each show.

Muppets in 3D is a must see for me. They leave the key under the mat just so I can come in!
Have they stopped bringing out the Muppet Moble Lab in Epcot? I’ve been trying to figure out if that is still something that happens.
