Disney World to Operate With Limited Transportation Options During Temporary Closure

As we approach the temporary closure of Disney World starting on March 16th, we have gotten more information from Disney in regards to what would and would not be open.

As of now, the Disney World Resort hotels will remain open, as will Disney Springs. And today, we received more information on what transportation will be running during this time.

According to a Cast Member, starting on March 16th through the end of March, Disney World will operate will limited transportation options. Transportation will continue to operate at select areas of Disney World during the temporary closure, including:

  • Disney buses will operate between Disney Resort hotels, as well as Disney Springs
  • Disney buses will operate between select Disney Resort hotels “as needed”
  • Some watercraft services, such as boats between hotels and Disney Springs will operate “as needed”
  • The Resort Monorail will operate “as needed”

During the closure, additional transportation such as the Disney Skyliner, Express Monorail, and Epcot Monorail do not plan to operate. These plans are subject to change, but we will keep you updated as this story develops.
