We have one more reason to look forward to the summer of 2019! In addition to Disneyland‘s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening, we’ll also be treated to the release of the live-action version of the beloved The Lion King movie.

We can see from the trailer the new version of the film is recreating some iconic scenes, including the powerful opening scene of the movie when Simba is introduced to the kingdom.
The new version of the film is directed by Jon Favreau, who also directed the live-action version of The Jungle Book.

The film stars Donald Glover, Seth Rogan, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, John Oliver, Keegan-Michael Key, Beyonce Knowles-Carter, and James Earl Jones.
