What is a Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night?

A Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night is a special after hours (hard-ticketed) event held on selected nights at the Magic Kingdom.

The great thing about a Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night is that ticket sales are very limited (rumors say about 5,000). (To put that in perspective, a slow day at the Magic Kingdom nets about 25,000 visitors.) The park will remain open 3 hours after its stated closing time for you to enjoy the E-Ticket Rides.

For $12.72 with tax per Adult per night, and $10.60 with tax per Child 3-9 per night, you will be able to enjoy the MK's E-Ticket attractions with super short waits.

What dates will Magic Kingdom E-Ride Nights be held?

At this time, no Eride nights are scheduled. As with all information — Please call WDW directly to confirm!

What is an E-Ticket?

When Disney World first opened, instead of purchasing one overall admission ticket to the Magic Kingdom, guests purchased ticket books. These books contained lettered tickets for various rides A, B, C, D, and E.
E tickets were for the BEST rides! The lettered tickets have long since gone away, but the term E-Ticket has always referred to the premiere attractions at the Magic Kingdom.

Can anyone purchase a ticket to Magic Kingdom E-Ride Nights ?

Disney Resort Guests, Hotel Plaza Blvd. Guests, Swan, Dolphin and Shades of Green Guests with multi-day passes can purchase a ticket for an after-hours party in the Magic Kingdom Park.

Offer good only for Disney Resort Guests with the following multi-day tickets: Ultimate Park Hopper, Park Hopper Plus, Park Hopper, Seasonal Pass, Annual Pass, Premium Annual Pass. You must have used your pass on the day of the event in order to gain entry.

Where do I purchase my ticket for Magic Kingdom E-Ride Nights?

Purchase your Ticket at your Disney Hotel Front Desk or Guest Services area. Make sure this is separate from your Room Key and Multi-Day Passport because you will have to turn in your ticket.

The Day of the E-Ticket, you can purchase tickets from the Magic Kingdom ticket window (be sure to have your resort ID with you).

Then, after 4 p.m. the day of the E-Ride Night, you can trade in your ticket for a wristband.

You cannot purchase Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night tickets via phone, CRO, at the Disney Store or online before arriving in Orlando. Although there is a cap on the number of tickets sold, very few E-Ticket nights have sold out.

How do I "activate" my Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night Ticket?

Anytime after 4 p.m. on the stated day you may exchange your Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night ticket for a wristband.

Three locations are available in the Magic Kingdom

1) Tables are set up at the Tour Garden next to City Hall on Main Street;

2) Tomorrowland Arcade next to Space Mountain; and

3) Splash Mountain Exit – Splash Photos

Cast Members will check for wristbands and only allow those guests on attractions once the Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night begins.

What if I don't get to the Magic Kingdom during regular operating hours the day of my E-Ride Ticket? Will I still be allowed in?

If you arrive at the Magic Kingdom after the park has officially closed and once the E-Ride event has begun, use your Multi-Day Pass to enter the Magic Kingdom. The Cast Member will probably ask for your E-Ride Ticket. Then go to City Hall and obtain an E-Ride Wrist Band.

If I have a 5-day hopper pass but choose to spend one day out of the parks can I show up just for the Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night hours and not use up one of the 5 days on the original pass?

The Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night ticket doesn't gain you admission into the Magic Kingdom. It gets you the wristband once you are *inside* the Magic Kingdom. So you still need to get *inside* the Magic Kingdom.

Are any stores or food vendors open during this time?

Some food, beverage, and merchandise locations are open, and the Characters will be available for photo opportunities as well.

The characters are usually out and about near Cinderella's Castle.

The following Merchandise locations are usually open: Emporium, Splashdown Photo, and Merchants of Venus.

The following Beverage locations are usually open: Main Street Bake Shop, Ice Cream Carts, Casey's Corner, Hub Pop Corn Wagon, Pecos Bill Cafe (closes 1 hour prior to end of event), The Lunching Pad, Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.

Does WDW transportation still run as normal after Magic Kingdom E-Ride Nights?

Yes it does, even though the bus drivers don't announce it during the day. The buses come much farther apart, but there still are direct buses to the resorts from the MK. For example one guest reported waiting 20 minutes for a Port Orleans bus, in that time 4 All-Star buses showed up.

The boat transportation MAY not operate after E-Ride Nights. So those who took the boat to the MK (from Ft. Wilderness, etc.) must use the monorail and busses to get back. Check with your hotel to be sure.
