Art Smith’s Homecoming Kitchen Opens Summer 2016
Posted onThe previously announced Art Smith's Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Shine Bar are now expected to open at Disney Springs in mid-summer. Featuring "farm-to-fork" cuisine, the restaurant will offer Southern favorites such as cheese-laced drop biscuits, Smith's world-famous fried chicken, and macaroni and cheese. Desserts will be fresh fruit cobblers and other sweets, including the restaurant's signature Mockingbird and Shine cakes. The venue will feature locally sourced ingredients, and will adjust select dishes depending on the season. The 200-seat, 6,000-square-foot space will have a mix between old Florida and rustic-chic decor, with an open kitchen. The restaurant's adjacent bar, Shine, will serve hand-crafted cocktails, resort-style punches and retro coolers made with artisanal moonshine.
