Perfect evening at Sanaa!

Pros:

As a traveler with multiple food allergies, dining out can be a real challenge. Not at Saana! The server listened carefully to my list of allergies, and responded she would like to send the Head Chef over to assure my needs would be met. HIgh points for that! Chef Dougie was great, with lots of creative suggestions. My meal was amazing, and my family even wanted tastes....that usually does not happen, as my food is usually pretty bland and boring.

Cons:

No cons at all! Our server Sara and Chef Dougie were terrific, and the food outstanding! Also of note the unique design and wildlife and naturalists nearby!

It’s not the same ride it used to be. When I was a kid this was my favorite ride so when I went back to Disney earlier this year I was excited to get to go on this ride. When I got off the ride I thought “why was this my favorite ride when I was a kid?” Doing research for my upcoming trip to Disney later the same year, I realized, it’s a COMPLETELY different ride! They got rid of the rainbow tunnel which was my favorite part!

Pros:

N/A

Cons:

Bring back the rainbow tunnel, I’m begging you!

The insane crowds made it feel like any other day at Disney. Usually, the crowds are way down during special events like this, which is why I bring my family. It was so crowded, you could barely walk!! The wait times were ridiculous. In past years, the longest wait time was about 20 min, tops! Not this year. I don't think I will be buying special event tickets anymore. I feel like I got ripped off, very disappointed.

Pros:

Fireworks, parade

Cons:

Way too crowded

Review of Caribbean Beach Resort (Moderate Resort)

This was my 2nd stay at this resort. The 1st time was over 10 years ago for only 2 days. We stayed here this time for 7 days in Trinidad in the pirate themed rooms. We were a group of adults and this was perfect for us. I loved the theming and since we each had our own pirate bed we didn’t find the beds small. They were also very soft which I loved. The room we had was very close to the bus stop, there was a coke machine near to fill our cups and water to fill our bottles prior to going to the parks. The pool and small restaurant were also nearby.

Pros:

Great Caribbean feel and quiet compared to value resorts. If you don’t want to go to the main restaurant or pool too often Trinidad 3761 was a great location. iIt was nice to have a bus stop very close when you are at the parks most of the time. I loved the feeling of this resort and it will be great when the skyline opens.

Cons:

The main quick service restaurant at Old Port Royal had sub par food. The park food was much better everywhere. It seemed that all food came in pre-packaged and was heated. Cold pizza slice, and the lasagna looked like a TV dinner. The bus system also was a lot slower than the value buses. One day we waited 45 minutes at Magic Kingdom from the time the previous bus left. Maybe all buses are slower now?

Reduced crowds is a myth. I would not attend the party with thinking you can do more than one attraction/get some candy per hour.

Pros:

Slightly shorter wait times for the rides possibly.

Cons:

The crowds are not reduced by any means. You can’t even walk, it’s going to take you forever to get from point A to long B. Long lines for characters, long lines for trick or treating, long lines for everything. Good luck trying to get a seat at either parade.

We went for breakfast right at opening. There were more cast members than guests! We had the croissants and quiche for breakfast. The quiche (Florentine) was absolutely delicious! The crust was so perfect you could cut into it with just a fork. The portion was just right for breakfast. They warmed up the quiche in the microwave so it was extra delicious and melted in my mouth.

Pros:

nice and peaceful and calm in the morning with plenty of seating

Cons:

none that I can think of. Afternoons are very crowded, with limited seating

This is great, anti-theme park food. It's probably a little too \"out there\" for some picky eaters, but when you reach the park of your trip where another hamburger seems like a death wish this is a great place to go and have some actual food. Plus, they really ham up all the kitch from the Jungle Cruise. The inside is themed so well, and the AC is always blasting

Pros:

Diversity of asian fusion flavors, theming

Cons:

The siu pork was pork with a glaze, not actual siu pork (different cooking methods)

Too Crowded!! Went twice. Much more pleasant during nonparty hours. Won’t ever go again.

Pros:

Castle/ Fireworks show, costumes

Cons:

Long waits (up to 2 hours) for characters, so-so special desserts, very crowded. Not a good value.

We ate here on 9/08/19 for lunch, after our FP+ for Jungle Cruise. The menu here is very diverse and exotic, but don't let the descriptions scare you away. The food and flavors in the dishes seem incongruous at first, but the overall taste of the dishes is wonderful.

My wife has a gluten allergy, and this restaurant has the most extensive Gluten Free (GF) menu anywhere. She had the GF Fried Chicken and loved it. She said she would eat it all day if she could.

Being a seafood lover, I had the seafood stew, and it was wonderful as well. The jasmine rice and the coconut sauce complimented the seafood incredibly well. I would eat this dish for every meal if offered to me.

We both had the "quicksand" dessert and loved how light the rice pudding is. Neither of us are big rice pudding fans, but we were impressed by the overall quality. The sauce provided a nice tartness that complimented the rice pudding well. The "cookie" on top is light and sweet, and is also GF.

If you have never eaten here, you absolutely must. The serving staff is wacky, much like the Jungle Cruise captains are. The humor is exactly the same, and adds a playful twist to the dining experience.

Pros:

Exotic flavors, Large GF menu offerings, Funny Serving Staff, Great Food!

Cons:

Not your typical theme park fare (if you consider that a "con")

Review of Port Orleans Riverside Resort (Moderate Resort)

We just returned from a 4-Day visit to WDW and stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. (9/08/19 - 9/11/19) This was our third stay with POR. Since this trip was for our daughter's 16th birthday, we booked a Royal Room. We had stayed in a Royal Room the last time we stayed at POR as well.

The resort had not changed much since 2013, which is what we liked. Our room was in Parterre Place, Room 9809. We checked in early in the morning, and our room was already ready for us, which was a nice surprise. The room was as expected, clean and well-maintained. Everything was as we expected it. The mousekeeping was good and efficient, although the times they came to service the room was erractic. One day they came before 8am, and another the came well after 3pm. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at Riverside. We used the boat service to and from Disney Springs several times. The bus service was much improved since 2013, and we never waited more than about 15 minutes for a bus. The addition of video displays showing when the next bus to each park was expected is terrific.

This resort is highly recommended, and we would definitely stay there again.

Pros:

Quiet, Royal Rooms, Excellent Front-Desk staff

Cons:

Long wait at the parks for buses returning to the resort
