Still difficult to get the rides you want even after paying the extra for plus. We used to love coming here when they had fast pass. Not sure it is worth the money to stay on Disney property anymore.

Pros:

No one has rides like Disney. Soaring is amazing!

Cons:

Some things still limited or closed. Very crowded. Very long lines. You have to get up early each day to sign up for Disney+. Yet, even doing that there are many rides you still cannot get on.

During a 2 week trip Thanksgiving & the week after, my daughter & I used Genie+ one day at Hollywood & one at Magic Kingdom. Both experiences allowed us to ride everything we wanted fairly easily. At Hollywood, I used Molly’s fiddle faddle strategy & picked rides with close times. At this point changes had not been made for the loophole of holding 2 Lightening lanes at a time. We pretty much rode back to back rides all day with little down time even though the park was very crowded. This was Thanksgiving week. The week after, a small change was made to prevent overlapping plans with lightening lane when we used it at Magic Kingdom. We did a couple big demand rides 1st thing in the morning like Jungle Cruise & Big Thunder during early park admission. Throughout the rest of the day we used the same plan of grabbing ride times as close together as possible & again rode everything & had little down time. The only issue was that we wanted to grab Jungle Cruise in the evening to see the Christmas lights since we didn’t use Genie+ that morning, but the night times were gone before we were able to get one. I think if people watch the All Ears videos about Genie to understand it & have a plan of how they want to use it, then it can be beneficial. I was explaining it to others throughout the day as I overheard concerns & problems some people expressed in line. Some were confused with the Genie+ & individual lighting lane rides thinking Genie+ rides for $15 all day were also only pick 1 & ride once.

Pros:

If you understand how to use Genie + efficiently & have a plan to use it in combination with early park entry if you’re a resort guest, it can make your day go smoothly with little wait times.

Cons:

If you wait for a ride like Jungle Cruise you may want to ride in the evening, there may not be any ride availability left. Sometimes you just have to grab a time when it pops up or you might miss the opportunity to ride at all. It would be expensive for a large family. It was just my daughter & me, so it wasn’t a terrible addition to the budget. We also only chose to use it a couple days out of our trip that were busier & used stand by the other days.

It’s great to have something back like fast pass. But Genie+ is not user friendly. It’s a struggle trying to book the attractions you most want to do. It makes it even more difficult to plan the day. It’s like going back in time to paper fast passes but without certain benefits like being able to use it more than once per attraction. Fast Pass+ was great to be able to plan by choosing the time you want to ride. Genie+ is good to have for Magic Kingdom but a waste of money at the other parks.

Pros:

The tip board is great to keep watch on wait times.

Cons:

Price! And Not being able to book an attraction more than once. Not being able to choose what time to ride the attractions.

It took me a few days to really get the hang of Genie+ but I actually really liked it. I was travelling solo so will need to see how I get on when I go with my family and with my friend, but for my needs I was able to get on lots of rides throughout each day that I used it.

It’s definitely about knowing how to best work the system - we’ve got Molly to help with that! - and using it to your advantage to make the most of it, but I found it good value for money. By the end of my holiday I had 3 Lightning Lane passes on the go at once which was great.

Pros:

If you know how it works, $15 is not bad - quite good value in fact - to ensure you get on just about all the rides.

Cons:

You have to know how it works! The tip board doesn’t show you what time you booked, just what time the next one is so you have to keep flipping between screens. It can mean a lot of time on your phone. Only being able to ride each ride’s Lightning Lane once. (Although this is workable)

When I am at the parks I don't want to be on my phone all day.

Pros:

There are no pros

Cons:

Miss a lot of things going on as you have to monitor your phone all day.

Pros:

can get you on rides faster can do more things while waiting for your time to ride

Cons:

We purchased Genie+ on a day where we started out in Hollywood Studios and then we’re hopping to Epcot in the afternoon. In this instance, it was not very useful in HS, but may have been more so if we had planned on staying until close. We were able to grab a 10:25 for Toy Story Mania, and by the time we checked in for that, everything else was booking into the mid afternoon times. It was a busy day, though. Even Alien Swirling Sauces had an 85 minute standby at lunch time. Once we hopped to Epcot around 3:30, it was much more useful. We snagged a time for just about every ride except didn’t pay attention to whether or not Test Track was available since we weren’t that interested in going on it.

Pros:

Was great in Epcot, standby waits weren’t terribly long, but we walked right on to all we wanted to do since we had already paid for it.

Cons:

Unless you plan on staying in Hollywood Studios until evening, it was a waste of money for that park.

Used Genie+ at all parks, except Animal Kingdom in November ( except for the "fancy rides"), and id do it again. I might not do it in Epcot as it wasnt really needed but was happy we did it.

Pros:

Shorter wait times, didn't wait more than 30mins for amy ride

Cons:

Could sell out fast

We absolutely LOVED genie+! We waited no more than 5 minutes for anything our entire 6 days of using it. We never rope dropped and took our time getting to the park every morning. With 4 adults and one 4.5 year old it was nice not being rushed.
I would 100% suggest Genie+ if you have young kids. We walked on most rides and it kept our son from having a meltdown from waiting in lines. We were able to ride every ride he was tall enough to get on in Magic Kingdom in under 3 hours. It was easy to book passes, but some rides did book extremely fast. We thought it was worth every penny and helped us have a stress free vacation.

Pros:

Rode twice as many rides as our last trip. Kept our day going smoothly

Cons:

Didn't get any personalized suggestions based on our interests Some rides booked way faster than we expected.

I feel Disney plus made my trip a bit more stressful. I don’t like the idea of racing to try and get times for rides and constantly on my phone. I also feel paying for this service with a chance of not being able to use it on certain rides is really unfair. If we now have to pay we should be able to ride everything using the service. I feel it should be more care free and let you ride at your own leisure.

Pros:

Don’t mind the service being in an app

Cons:

Should be free or less about time and just let you ride whenever you please.
