Coping with crowds at Walt Disney World for Christmas and New Year’s weeks

The busiest time of the entire year at Walt Disney World - the week before Christmas and the week before New Year's Day -- is quickly approaching. And although being in a Disney theme park during the holidays is truly magical, it is also extremely crowded. So, it's more important than ever to have a strategy and backup plans so that you don't end up feeling like the Grinch when the crowds seem overwhelming.

The 32nd Annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade Promises to be the Most ‘Unforgettable’ Special Yet!

"Disney Parks Unforgettable Christmas Celebration" will air Friday, December 25, from 10 a.m. until noon ET (airtimes vary; check local listings) on the ABC Television Network. Now in its 32nd year, the Christmas special will be hosted by Robin Roberts of ABC's "Good Morning America." Reporting from the Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, Roberts will be accompanied by Jesse Palmer, a new GMA special contributor. Janel Parrish, star of the ABC Family hit show "Pretty Little Liars" will serve as music correspondent alongside Stitch from Cinderella Castle.

Luna Park Pool Under Maintenance

The BoardWalk's Luna Park Pool slide has been closed for maintenance for at least two weeks. The maintenance work was apparently unanticipated as the closure still does not appear on any official refurbishment schedules.
