Disneyland Half Marathon 2012 – Part 1

Posted on
Labor Day weekend - that means it's once again time for the Disneyland Half Marathon! We will be running it Sunday morning with 16,998 of our closest friends (and a number of Team AllEars teammates, as well). This will be the 7th Disneyland Half Marathon, and our 5th time running it. We really enjoy it. They have tweaked the parks part of the course again this year because Cars Land and Buena Vista Street our now open! So we'll get to run through Cars Land tomorrow. We've made a long weekend of it, and arrived on Friday night. We are using our DVC points to stay at the Villas at the Grand Californian (we love this resort). We're on the 5th floor, and this was what we saw when we arrived in our room Friday night! Grizzly Peak and a blue moon over the Tower of Terror. We can also see the Cadillac Range in Cars Land through the trees. It's a great location.

A 2nd Day at California Adventure, Hidden Mickeys

Posted on
I confirmed that a classic Hidden Mickey was still in place on a display painting near the wall opposite the bottom of the stairs that lead down inside to the restaurant level of Ariels Grotto . It is still there made of white bubbles just to the left of a long green stem at the lower left of the sign that says Ariels Grotto Disney Princess Celebration.

This holiday season -- for the first time in its history -- the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is being extended to a total of 20 nights at Disneyland park, with two performances each night. The first two nights, December 1-2, will be invitation-only events; however, performances from December 3-20 will be open to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders and guests booking special, to-be-announced dining packages for the 2012 holiday season.
