Steve Barrett is a doctor and Disney nut whose favorite Walt Disney World memory is strolling through the Magic Kingdom with his young son on his shoulders. Not surprisingly, his favorite spot in the World is anywhere there's a Hidden Mickey. He suggests that all visitors take some time to chat with cast members, especially when looking for Hidden Mickeys, as they can enrich your Disney experience and make it even more magical.

Possible Hidden Mickeys around Walt Disney World

Some of the following images come close – I think – to forming classic Hidden Mickeys. Of course, some collections of circles are more convincing than others. What do you think of these? In Epcot, along the “Frozen Ever After” Standby queue, at one point you walk through Oaken’s Tokens shop. Circular impressions on the … Continue reading "Possible Hidden Mickeys around Walt Disney World"

I’ll begin with a few images from Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We should find at least a few Hidden Mickeys in the new Pandora, right? How about this image? Look for these small indentations in the rock wall (in the middle of the photo) along the lower exit walkway from “Avatar Flight of Passage,” near the … Continue reading "Hidden Mickeys around Walt Disney World"

Questionable Hidden Mickeys around Walt Disney World

In Disney parks everywhere, new attractions bring new images to ponder, and fresh images pop up sometimes in established areas. Or maybe no one has spotted them before? Remember, Disney usually doesn’t notify us when new Hidden Mickeys are created. In Epcot’s Norway, consider the following two images. The first is in The Wandering Reindeer … Continue reading "Questionable Hidden Mickeys around Walt Disney World"

Hidden Mickeys and Hidden Characters in Epcot and the Magic Kingdom

Thank goodness, the search for Hidden Images never ends! That’s because Disney continually places new ones and waits for us to find them. As you know, some images are clearly purposeful, while others are questionable. What about the following? In Epcot’s Morocco pavilion, check out this chipped-out section in a wall of the outside patio … Continue reading "Hidden Mickeys and Hidden Characters in Epcot and the Magic Kingdom"

Hidden Mickeys in Africa and Asia, Disney’s Animal Kingdom

What with Pandora unfolding at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, I spent the better part of a beautiful day recently scoping out the park for Hidden Mickeys. Like this one in Africa’s Harambe Village: silver balls in a basket perched on a shelf high above street level might form Mickey ears? Look for this basket across from … Continue reading "Hidden Mickeys in Africa and Asia, Disney’s Animal Kingdom"

I’ve been wondering about a few images that folks have let me know about. This first image is on the steampunk dragon (Maleficent) in the Festival of Fantasy parade. Find it on the plate just below the right shoulder joint. Three faint circles in the metal might form a classic Mickey. What do you think? … Continue reading "Hidden Mickeys in the Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland and Splash Mountain"

Groups of circles abound on Disney property. But which circle threesomes can count as decent Hidden Mickeys? Some are convincing and some not. What do you think about the following images? Three cannonballs along the left entrance queue of Pirates of the Caribbean might form a classic (three-circle) Hidden Mickey. Look for them between barrels … Continue reading "Questionable Hidden Mickeys in the Magic Kingdom"

Check out these first few images in the Magic Kingdom. In the Standby interactive queue of the Haunted Mansion, look for this skull on the wall with the musical instruments. Is the nose of the skull a classic Hidden Mickey? (Thanks to Deonna Hores). In the third scene of Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, a … Continue reading "Hidden Mickeys in the Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs"

Hidden Mickeys on the Disney Wonder, Part 2

New Hidden Mickeys have appeared, and some old ones were lost, during the re-imagining of the Disney Wonder. Many of the new Hidden Mickeys are high-quality images and are fun to search for! Such as the ones I present below. White bubbles on the aft side deck (closest to Dory’s Reef) of the Aqualab Children’s … Continue reading "Hidden Mickeys on the Disney Wonder, Part 2"

Good news for us Hidden Mickey hunters: the re-imagined Disney Wonder has some great new Hidden Mickeys! (And, as you might expect, some Hidden Mickeys have been removed; sad, but I’ll get over it). The Disney’s Oceaneer Lab redo is similar to the Disney Magic Oceaneer Lab redo of several years ago. For example, the … Continue reading "Hidden Mickeys on the Disney Wonder"
