CONFIRMED: This Disney Ride Scene Has CHANGED

With Disneyland being Walt Disney’s original park, there’s so much history that comes with riding classic attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and more. Perhaps the best ride to really get a feel for Walt’s park, though, is the Disneyland Railroad.

The Disneyland Railroad is not just a way to get around the parks. The ride itself also has some unique experiences, including a visit to a Dinosaur diorama, one of the best parts of the railroad journey. However, that scene has changed.

The Primeval World part of the Disneyland Railroad is a massive diorama that shows a variety of audio-animatronic dinosaurs in their prehistoric habitats. The scene was originally part of the Ford Magic Skyway at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, so it has some serious history. The scene was inspired by the “Rite of Spring” segment from the 1940 film Fantasia. It was added to Disneyland in 1966.

Well, now the diorama is gone and has been replaced with cardboard cutouts of dinosaurs and other animals.

However, there’s no reason to worry. The Disneyland Railroad has been getting some much-deserved TLC and refurbishment, so it’s likely this scene is getting some maintenance and a refresh.

It looks a LOT different

We don’t know how long the cardboard cutouts will remain in place, but we’ll keep an eye out for when the diorama returns to the ride.
