We’ve been talking a lot about runDisney recently, after all of the chaos for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend registration.

All of the runDisney races are extremely popular, and registration can be very competitive, which means that a lot of the time, people miss out on the chance to race. But did you know there is another way to secure a spot in a runDisney race?
runDisney is sponsored by many different charities, and these charities are given a select number of race bibs that they give out to people who fundraise for them. While every charity has different rules and requirements, today we are going to go over two charities and how you can secure a fundraising bib!

Starting with Hope Story, there mission is to, “give support, encouragement and hope to parents whose child has received a Down syndrome diagnosis.” And they are a 2026/2027 runDisney charity partner! If you want to run with Hope Story you have to meet the following fundraising requirements.

Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend (October 22nd – 25th, 2026). The fundraising deadline must be halfway complete by June 1st, 2026 and fully complete by October 1st, 2026.
- 5K – $550 Fundraising Commitment
- 10K – $650 Fundraising Commitment
- Half Marathon – $750 Fundraising Commitment
- Disney Wine & Dine Challenge –$1,500 Fundraising Commitment

2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend (January 6th-10th, 2027). The fundraising deadline must be halfway complete by July 15th, 2026 and fully complete by January 1st, 2027.
- 5K – $550 Fundraising Commitment
- 10K – $650 Fundraising Commitment
- Half Marathon– $750 Fundraising Commitment
- Full Marathon – $850 Fundraising Commitment
- Dopey Challenge – $2,500 Fundraising Commitment

2027 Princess Half Marathon Weekend (February 25th-March 1st, 2027). The fundraising deadline must be halfway complete by August 15, 2026, and fully complete by February 1st, 2027.
- 5K – $550
- 10K – $650
- Half Marathon – $750
- Fairy Tale Challenge – 1,500

2027 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend (April 15th – 18th, 2027). The fundraising deadline must be halfway complete by September 15th, and fully complete by April 1st, 2027.
- 5K – $550
- 10K – $750
- 10 Miler– $900
- Springtime Surprise Weekend Surprise Challenge – $1,500

You can also participate in a runDisney race for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Their mission is “to advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.” Here are the races and fundraising requirements if you are interested in running for St. Jude.
