We Know When Four Disneyland Attractions Will Re-Open

When we saw that Disneyland would be experiencing a lot of temporary ride closures at the beginning of 2026 AND saw that they didn’t have reopening dates, we got a little stressed.

Now that we’re closer to the new year, though, we’re relieved to see that the four rides scheduled to close for refurbishment in early 2026 now all have reopening dates, and some of them are sooner than you may think!

We knew that the Mark Twain Riverboat would be closing for a refurb on January 12th, but fortunately, now we know that it’s reopening just a few days later on January 16th! It’s unclear what work will be done on the attraction, but our assumption is that it’s just regular maintenance to keep the ride running smoothly.

Haunted Mansion will also be transitioning back to its non-holiday self in the beginning of January, like we see pretty much every year. Haunted Mansion Holiday will close on January 11th, and then the regular Haunted Mansion will reopen on January 23rd. We know, that’s a long time to go without this spooky attraction, but it’ll be worth it!

Over in Disney California Adventure, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will be closing on January 5th for its refurbishment, but now we know it’s reopening on January 23rd (the same day as Haunted Mansion). Again, Disney hasn’t mentioned what this refurbishment is focused on, so it’s very likely just regular maintenance (but if we see anything different with the ride after its refurb, we’ll be sure to let you know!).

Finally, we now know that Incredicoaster will not only close on January 5th, but will then reopen on February 6th. This is a LONG time to go without one of the most popular rides in the park, especially considering it’s the only ride in the park that goes upside down, but we know it’s for good reason. Sometimes rides need TLC to help make sure they keep running properly for years to come — it’s a small price to pay, but totally worth it!
