Disneyland’s Magic Key Pass comes with a lot of perks, like special discounts, exclusive merchandise, and even the occasional freebie.

However, the MAIN reason folks get a Magic Key Pass is to get entrance into Disneyland’s two theme parks. Well, one Magic Key Pass just got discontinued, with a new pass now being offered that comes with a big upgrade on WHEN you can visit the parks.
Disneyland recently announced that the Enchant Key will no longer be available for purchase on January 13th. Instead, a new Key will be offered, the Explore Key. If you have the Enchant Key, you can keep it until it expires, after which you can renew it as an Explore Key. The benefits between the two are similar, but the Explore Key comes with a big upgrade: the ability to visit the parks on weekdays in June and July.

Now we know exactly when you’ll be able to visit the parks in summer with the new Explore Pass. The Enchant Key only included four weekdays in June and July. The Explore Key includes 43 days, which is A LOT MORE.

This could also justify the small price difference between the two. The Enchant Key was $974, while the new Explore Key will be $999.

That’s a small price to pay, considering the number of days that have been added to the pass. Other perks include reservation-based Park Hopper admission with the ability to hold up to four theme park reservations at a time, up to 10% off select merchandise and dining, 25% off parking at the Toy Story Parking lot, and 25% off Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
The Enchant Key pass is the least expensive of the Disneyland Magic Key passes that are available, so it’s likely this could be the most popular. It seems like Disney has decided to make the cheapest option a little more accessible by offering more weekday admission in the summer. We’ll see how sales and renewals go on January 13th.
