We have been obsessed with all of the new dining reservation system updates Disney has been adding! With tons of new filters, the ability to search for a range of times, and the convenience of finding open times for multiple restaurants at once, we were doing a happy dance, realizing that making dining reservations was finally easier.

Imagine our surprise when we logged on today to make a reservation, and it was all gone!
UPDATE: As of June 25th, the updates have been restored to the My Disney Experience app and Disney World website. It appears Disney has fixed the issue, but the changes are likely still rolling out slowly. Keep an eye out the next time you go to book Advanced Dining Reservations!
It appears that Disney has removed the updates from the website and app. Our favorite time sliders and availability are gone! The new filters are still there, which is great, but the additional updates have been removed.

What could this mean? Well, they were initially rolling out the updates to smaller groups at a time, rather than releasing them to everyone at once, so they might have decided to slow down the updates.

They could also have decided that the system wasn’t ready to handle all the changes. There are a lot of Disney World restaurants, ranging from those owned by Disney to those operated by third parties, and it can be overwhelming to juggle all the different restaurant needs.

While it’s most likely not the case, Disney could have also said that the updates just aren’t working and wanted them gone. We wouldn’t be surprised if these pop up again. We know Disney loves to test the water before jumping into the deep end. It’s why they have things like attraction previews and test audiences.

Even if these new updates have disappeared (which is sad, considering how helpful they were), this doesn’t mean you can’t make advanced dining. You can make reservations from the app or website — you’ll just be using the old system.

We’ll be keeping our eyes out to see when the updates come back, but in the meantime, make sure you keep following AllEars for more Disney news.
